Here are two things Federal Law requires for housing built before 1978 and before signing a contract for housing sale or lease.
Sellers and landlords must provide:
- The 2012 Lead Disclosure brochure from the EPA, HUD, and the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
- The right Lead Disclosure Statement to disclose known lead-based paint and lead-based paint hazards, and any available reports.
